AAA 16-Gourd Rack Kit for 2-Inch Square Poles
Already have a 2-inch square Purple Martin pole system but want to change the housing setup? The AAA 16-Gourd Rack Kit lets you reuse many of the major components you already own while replacing the existing hub and rack assembly with a system designed to hold up to 16 gourds. This kit is a practical option for landlords who have a compatible 2-inch square pole and want to convert or rebuild their existing system without purchasing an entirely new pole assembly.
Designed for an Existing 2-Inch Square Pole
The AAA 16-Gourd Rack Kit is designed specifically for use with a 2-inch square outside-diameter pole. This makes it especially useful when rebuilding or converting an existing compatible Purple Martin pole system, including systems originally configured for other types of housing.
Instead of replacing the pole, ground stake, and raising and lowering components, you can remove the existing hub assembly and install the AAA hub and rack components included with this kit.
Please Note: A pole is NOT included with this kit. This kit is designed for 2-inch square poles only.
AAA Aluminum Hub with Glide Buttons
At the center of the kit is the AAA aluminum hub, which comes with glide buttons already installed. The hub travels vertically along your existing compatible 2-inch square pole, allowing the gourd rack to be raised and lowered using your existing rope-and-pulley system.
Eight Aluminum Angle Arms
The kit includes eight 1-1/4" x 30" aluminum angle arms. Each arm has pre-punched gourd-hanging holes positioned 16 inches on center, providing two gourd locations per angle arm and a total capacity of 16 gourds.
Stainless-steel hardware for attaching the aluminum angle arms to the AAA hub is included.
16 Gourd Mounting Arms Included
The AAA kit includes all 16 individual gourd mounting arms needed to complete the rack:
- 8 Horizontal Straight Gourd Mounting Arms for the outside positions
- 8 Horizontal 90° Gourd Mounting Arms for the interior positions
Hardware for the gourd mounting arms is also included, consisting of a stainless-steel bolt, nut, and hitch pin for each mounting location.
Gourds are sold separately, giving you the freedom to choose the gourd styles and entrances you prefer for your colony.

What Will You Need to Supply?
Because this is a gourd rack kit rather than a complete pole system, the landlord supplies and reuses the remaining compatible components. These include the 2-inch square pole, ground stake, rope-and-pulley system, rope winder, eyebolt used to connect the rope to the angle arm, quick link, and pole top cap.
The pole, ground stake, raising and lowering components, and gourds are not included with this kit.
