Crescent Hole Plugs
Temporarily close any standard Crescent entrance with these easy-to-use Crescent Hole Plugs. Designed to fit properly sized Crescent entrances, these plugs are not brand-specific and can be used with Purple Martin gourds, aluminum housing, metal housing, homemade housing, and other compatible setups.
They are especially useful in early spring before your Purple Martins arrive, helping keep unwanted birds from entering and claiming nesting cavities. Simply press the plug into the entrance, then remove it when you are ready to open the housing for your martins.
Crescent Hole Plugs are also helpful during nest checks. They can be temporarily inserted to help keep older nestlings inside while the housing or gourd rack is lowered and being checked.

Important: If Crescent Hole Plugs are used during nest checks, be sure to remove every plug before raising the housing or gourd rack back into position so the birds have access to their entrances.
