Dancing Scarecrow Predator Deterrent
A large, constantly moving deterrent designed to help discourage owls and other aerial predators from visiting your Purple Martin colony.
The Dancing Scarecrow uses continuous, unpredictable movement to make the area around your Purple Martin colony less inviting to owls and other birds of prey. A small blower fills the inflatable scarecrow with air, creating the familiar waving motion that keeps the deterrent moving while it is in operation.
Unlike stationary owl guards or decoys, the Dancing Scarecrow is designed to discourage predators from approaching and settling into a regular hunting pattern around your colony.

When to Use It
The Dancing Scarecrow can be especially useful when owl activity begins around an established colony. Owl pressure often becomes more noticeable as young Purple Martins approach fledging age and activity around the housing increases.
For nighttime owl deterrence, we recommend operating the Dancing Scarecrow from dusk until dawn while Purple Martins are present and owl activity is a concern.
