Just pull the pins and the front drops down. Push the front back up, and insert the pins.

Why the SRBH is sparrow-resistant: The slot in the house allows for more light to enter the cavity. There is a wooden nest tray that takes up space. Both the added light and smaller compartments are deterrents of the House Sparrow.

A quote from Adam Troyer: "I feel pretty confident most squirrels could not climb the guard but they will be able to jump on birdhouse from a tree if it (BB house) is to close to trees. Deters most if not all squirrels."

You get a hanging bolt with wing nut and the u-shaped bracket. Please review the product photos to see them.

The post is 78" overall. You place a block of wood on the top of the pole and drive it into your ground 18"
