Bracket-Mounted for Added Stability
Unlike the Pin Version, which hangs from the safety pin supplied with many Troyer rack systems, the Bracket Version is supported by a dedicated aluminum mounting bracket. This provides a secure mounting point while still allowing the predator guard to be removed when you need to lower the housing for nest checks or maintenance.
To lower your housing, remove the guard, loosen the bracket, and slide it down the pole as needed. The housing or gourd rack can then be lowered to a comfortable working height.

Bracket Version vs. Pin Version
Both EZ-Off 3 versions provide the same removable predator guard design for 3-inch square poles. The difference is how the guard is supported. The Bracket Version uses a dedicated mounting bracket, while the Pin Version hangs directly from the system's safety pin.
The Bracket Version takes slightly longer to remove because the mounting bracket must be loosened before the housing can be lowered. However, the bracket design provides additional stability and is the preferred choice for installations in especially windy locations.
