Expand your existing Troyer’s or Creative Universe K-Series 18 Gourd Rack to a 24-gourd system without replacing the entire rack. This upgrade kit allows you to reuse many of the components you already have while adding the parts needed to convert your K-Series 18 into a K-Series 24.
During the conversion, the original K-Series hub brackets are removed from the existing angle side pieces and then reused on the new angle side pieces included with the kit. The original bracket mounting hardware, 18 stainless steel gourd hanging arms, and existing hitch pins are also reused.
Once completed, your rack will have a total of 24 horizontal stainless steel gourd hanging arms and will hold up to 24 gourds.
Gourds are sold separately.
The pole should be removed from the ground stake before beginning the conversion.
This conversion requires disassembling portions of the existing rack and should never be performed while Purple Martins are actively nesting. Complete the upgrade before the martins return in the spring or after the nesting season has ended.
This upgrade is an economical way to increase the capacity of your existing K-Series rack while continuing to use many of the durable components already in your system.
