We are always happy to help answer questions about Purple Martins and their behavior.  I have been hosting martins for over 25 years and have seen a lot in my days.  While I am happy to help you with questions about your colony, I would also like to point out that we have a wonderful and helpful guidebook called "A Purple Martin Journey" written by Andrew Troyer.  This book covers topics ranging from where to place my housing, nest checks, how to keep your colony safe from predators and so much more.  We highly recommend this book for any landlord just starting out.  I call it my Purple Martin Bible and it will help you too.  This hardcover 6" x 9" book has 208 pages and over 260 color photos.
