Standard Bluebird House
A traditional Western red cedar Bluebird house with a simple, practical design for easy monitoring and care.
The Standard Bluebird House is made from Western red cedar and features a traditional 1-1/2" round entrance. Its side-opening design provides convenient access for nest checks and seasonal cleaning, while the recessed floor and interior toe grips add practical features for nesting Bluebirds.
This house is best suited for locations where House Sparrows are not a serious problem. If House Sparrow pressure is high in your area, one of our sparrow-resistant Bluebird house designs may be a better choice.

Easy Mounting
The Standard Bluebird House includes the bolt and wing nut needed to attach it to our Bluebird Aluminum Post.
For additional protection from climbing predators, add our Bluebird Pole Guard. The guard is designed specifically for use with our aluminum Bluebird post.
Where Should You Place a Bluebird House?
Placement can make a major difference in whether Bluebirds choose your nest box. Bluebirds prefer open habitat with sparse trees and low vegetation, and placing the house correctly can also help reduce competition from House Sparrows.
