Convert Your 3” Square Pole into a Super System 24
Already have a 3” square OD pole and want to convert your existing Purple Martin housing into a 24-gourd system? The Super System 24 Gourd Rack Kit allows you to reuse your compatible pole and raising and lowering components while replacing your current housing with a Super System 24 Gourd Rack. Whether you are converting a T-14 setup or another system using a compatible 3” square OD pole, this kit provides the rack components needed to make the change.
A 24-Gourd System Built Around Eight Arms
The Super System 24 is designed around eight 50” aluminum angle arms extending from the Super System 24 hub. Each arm provides three gourd hanging positions, spaced 16” on center, creating a total of 24 gourd positions. This design provides plenty of room for building a 24-gourd Purple Martin colony while making use of the 3” square pole you already own.
Three Styles of Gourd Mounting Arms
The kit includes 24 gourd mounting arms in three different configurations: eight horizontal 90° arms, eight horizontal straight arms, and eight horizontal 45° arms. Each gourd mounting arm includes stainless steel mounting hardware and a hitch pin to help secure the gourd in place. Gourds are not included, allowing you to select the gourd styles and entrances that work best for your colony.

The Super System 24 Gourd Rack Kit includes the components needed to add the rack assembly to your compatible 3” square OD pole:

Reuse Your Existing Pole Components
Because this is a conversion kit rather than a complete pole-and-rack system, the landlord supplies and reuses the compatible components already on their system. You will need a 3” square OD pole, ground stake, cable, cable guide, ball top, top perch rods, eyebolt, winch, winch mounting brackets, upper pulley, and safety pins.
Winch Recommendation
The Super System 24 is raised and lowered using a winch and cable system. While you may be able to reuse the compatible winch already installed on your pole, we strongly recommend a brake winch or worm gear winch for the Super System 24. These winch options provide greater control when raising and lowering the rack and are our preferred choices for operating this system.
Turn Your Existing 3” Pole into a 24-Gourd Rack
If you already have a compatible 3” square OD pole and the necessary raising and lowering components, you do not need to start over with an entirely new pole system.
