Adapter Plate with Troyer Tunnel for SuperGourds
Convert an existing SuperGourd to a Troyer Tunnel entrance.
The Adapter Plate with Troyer Tunnel allows Purple Martin landlords to convert an existing SuperGourd to a tunnel-style entrance. The molded adapter plate fits the curved surface of the SuperGourd and provides a secure mounting surface for the Troyer Tunnel.
This conversion can be used with any SuperGourd entrance style because the original opening is enlarged during installation. Choose either a Conley II or Crescent Troyer Tunnel for your conversion.
Choose Your Entrance
- Conley II Entrance: Starling-resistant entrance with a molded-in wing-entrapment guard.
- Crescent Entrance: Starling-resistant entrance for landlords who prefer the traditional Crescent shape.

Installation
The original SuperGourd entrance must be enlarged before the adapter plate can be installed. A saber saw is recommended for enlarging the opening. Once the opening is prepared, the molded adapter plate and Troyer Tunnel are secured to the gourd using the included stainless steel mounting hardware.
Hanging the Converted SuperGourd
After the Troyer Tunnel conversion is installed, we recommend hanging the SuperGourd on a horizontal-style gourd mounting arm. This provides the proper orientation for the tunnel and allows the converted gourd to hang securely on compatible gourd racks.
