Crescent-Holed SuperGourd with Porch
A spacious Purple Martin gourd with a starling-resistant Crescent entrance and included inner and outer porches.
The Crescent-Holed SuperGourd combines the roomy nesting cavity and durable construction of the SuperGourd with a 1-3/16" Crescent starling-resistant entrance. The included inner and outer porches provide additional footing and help Purple Martins negotiate the low-profile entrance.
Made from UV-inhibited high-density polyethylene, the SuperGourd is designed for years of outdoor use without the growing, drying, sealing, or annual painting required by natural gourds.

Included SuperGourd Porches
Each Crescent-Holed SuperGourd includes both an inner and outer porch. The porches provide Purple Martins with additional footing on both sides of the Crescent entrance and make entering and exiting the gourd easier.
Porch assembly is required before the gourd is placed into service.

Hanging the SuperGourd
The SuperGourd can be hung vertically or horizontally. Horizontal hanging is preferred on most of our gourd racks because the gourd swings from side to side rather than front to back.
A molded drill guide is provided in the neck of the gourd for landlords who want to drill a 3/8" hole for horizontal hanging.

Compatible Accessories
- Pine Needles: Add a bed of pine needles before the martins arrive and keep extra bedding available for nest changes.
