Gourd Rack Super-Combo Kit with Troyer Vertical Gourds Conley II Entrance (#SC12HV
)
Includes the complete Deluxe 12 Unit Gourd Rack including the 2" square x 14' tall heavy-duty aluminum pole
. Also included with the Deluxe 12 Gourd Rack Combo are 12 Troyer Vertical Gourds Conley II, the Standard Predator/Pole Guard Square and a Tunnel Trap.
The Troyer Vertical Gourd:
Durable:
Troyer Gourds are blow-molded in white (sun-reflecting), opaque, high-density polyethylene plastic. They won't rot, peel, split, or crack out in the elements, and won't break if accidentally dropped like natural gourds can. Because they are molded with ultraviolet inhibitors added to the plastic, they have a long life expectancy with virtually no maintenance other than giving a quick scrub at the end of the season. The Troyer Tunnel is injection-molded using opaque UV-inhibited plastic.
Easy to Hang:
Troyer Gourds can easily be hung underneath an existing martin house or from an any of the gourd racks we offer. No need to drill a hanging hole, they come pre-drilled with a 3/8" hanging-hole. Landlords will need to assemble the Troyer Tunnel on to the molded-in collar on the gourd.
Designed to benefit the Purple Martin:
The Troyer Vertical Gourd reduces the risk of owl predation, due to its overall length of 13".
The tunnel is trap-compatible for trapping House Sparrows with the included Troyer-Haskell Tunnel Trap.
The extra-wide porch on the gourds give martins a place to lounge in the sun and the inner tunnels now have a wing-entrapment guard and traction tread.
Each gourd has an additional perch area with traction on the Tunnel and comes with a pre-drilled 3/8”, front-to-back hanging hole. Gourds have high occupancy rates, plus reduce the incidence of fallouts and premature fledging. Now, busy landlords can offer their martins all the advantages of properly-prepared gourds, without investing the time and effort required to grow natural gourds, then add access doors and canopies, or repaint them every year or so.
Pole Guard Square:
24 inches long with a 7-½ inch diameter tube.
The guard installs around the pole, no need to remove the house.

Made from a heavy-weight aluminum and powder coated this two-piece trap fits

The trap includes a powder coated aluminum shutter door and trip-wire.
Deluxe 12 Gourd Rack:
The Deluxe 12 Unit Gourd Rack is top-of the line in construction and innovative design, and has been available for over 30 years!. It features our four-part rope and pulley system which will vertically lift and lower the hub section without the hub turning, with ease.
Includes the 2-inch square, 2-piece 14-foot tall pole
, aluminum heavy-duty ground stake, two solid 48" long top perch rods, the two-tiered aluminum hub with installed glide buttons, 12 aluminum gourd-hanging arms, rope cleat, a pole cap and stainless hardware. Manufactured in Pennsylvania by the Troyer's, this gourd rack is superior in quality and craftsmanship.
Features
:
It features a four-part pulley system for easy raising and lowering.
The gourd arms slip easily in and out of the all-aluminum, assembled hub, which has nylon glide tabs for squeak-free operation.
Also included; twelve 3/8” high-strength aluminum arms; 45-feet of polyester rope; an aluminum rope cleat; and a 2-inch-square aluminum pole assembly with a plastic pyramid pole cap and two solid 3/8" top perch rods.
Materials:
Aluminum pole, aluminum ground stake, aluminum hub brackets, assembled to aluminum angle sides using stainless steel hardware. Twelve high-strength 3/8" aluminum gourd arms.
Pole Dimensions
: Two-inch square high-tensile strength two-piece aluminum pole and stands 14-feet above the ground when installed.
Square poles are superior in strength to round martin poles.
Gourd Arms
: Twelve 3/8" solid aluminum horizontal arms. Arms for "Deluxe" and "K-Series" style gourd racks have a 90-degree bend on the end that slips into the hub bracket. There are three configurations; straight that slip into the single hole on the hub bracket, and left and right, which are paired in an adjacent side of the hub. The horizontal gourd arms have a drilled hole at the end of the arm. Slip your gourd onto the arm and insert your supplied stainless hitch pin. The pin will keep your gourd from falling off.
Four-part pulley system:
Each of the pulleys carries a 1/4 of the load. If your 12 gourds and hub weigh a total of 40 pounds, you are pulling around 10 pounds. Always wear a good pair of grippy gloves when raising or lowering any gourd rack.

Extremely happy
I have been researching something to put on my property to draw birds. I have always loved Purple Martins and have been researching since last year. With Diane's help I was able to ask questions and continue researching until I decided this was the unit for me. I know that we live by 2 small lakes and I have 2 different neighbors that range in 1 mile away to 4 miles away that also have the house style homes for Martins but they do not weed the sparrows out. With all that said I am unsure at this point if I am going to get PM's this year but the review is for the quality of this product. The directions were perfect, I followed them easily and found all the things needed and dug the hole and it set just fine. I waited the number of days to harden and the rest of the directions were easy and all the products are nice quality. My husband was very happy with the ease of the instal. I am now trying to do work at home while I look out the window.... I would definitely recommend this product and I have already ordered the expansion from 12 to 24. The gourds are very nice also.
