Spray some WD40 on the splice piece (connects the upper section of the pole to the lower section) before inserting into the bottom pole section.

When tightening bolts and nuts, tighten on the nut side and remember: righty-tighty, lefty-loosey

End of Season
Gourds: Remove gourds and clean them using soap and water and if needed diluted bleach. Store clean gourds inside a barn or shed. Place your hitch pins in the Gourd Mounting Arm holes to keep from loosing them. Lower the hub section for the winter months. Though we recommend you store your gourds in the winter months, if you choose to keep your gourds on your rack don't leave the entrance open, it is a tempting winter home for squirrels. Use Door Shields.
