Q: How is your product so inexpensive? Does this price of $27.48 include the Gourd, the Connelly entrance addition, the interior strap for the babies to walk out onto the porch, and the vent hole with plug?

The Dimensions of just the Troyer Tunnel is : (From Tip of Porch to back of Tunnel) 6-1-8". Porch area is 6" x 3". Inside depth 3". SuperGourds are not sold with tunnels. You can convert a SuperGourd and attach a Troyer Tunnel to a SuperGourd. The Troyer Tunnel is used on both the Troyer vertical and horizontal gourds.

These are manufactured gourds. They are much more durable the natural gourds.

Begin by looking at the photo of the gourd. Note that in the neck of the gourd, you will see a hole. This is the hanging the hole of the gourd. This hole is large enough to accommodate a 3-8" gourd arm. Also take note that the hanging hole is drilled front to back in the neck of the gourd. When a hanging hole in a gourd is oriented front to back, it is referred to as a "Horizontal-hung" gourd. Gourds whose hanging holes are drilled the opposite way (left to right in the neck of the gourd) are called Vertical hung gourds. An example of that would be the SuperGourd.

I looked up the gourd rack you mentioned and it appears to me that the gourds would need to be wired on. If that is the case you would find it easier to use a SuperGourd or a "vertically-hung" gourd. Still have questions, reach out to us using the contact us page.
