My name is Diane Oberlander, and I am the owner of PurpleMartinProducts.com.
Purple Martins have been important part of my life for more than 25 years. Over that time, Ive had the privilege of being a Purple Martin landlord, hosting well over 100 pairs of martins and learning firsthand about their behavior, breeding, nesting and life cycle.
That experience is at the heart of what I do here.
Before starting PurpleMartinProducts.com, I was one-half of Creative Universe Enterprises, working alongside my husband, Robert. Together we engineered and designed the aluminum gourd racks and many of the other Purple Martin products that became familiar to landlords across the country-from gourd racks and traps to pole guards and accessories.
Because I was involved in the design and development of these products, I understand them from the ground up. I know how the gourd racks work, how they are installed, and how the different components fit together. I also have extensive hands-on experience with Troyer Gourds, SuperGourds and the many accessories used to create and maintain a successful Purple Martin colony.
In 2014, the Troyers purchased our manufacturing business, Creative Universe Enterprises. Since then, I have continued to work closely with Troyer's Birds' Paradise. As Adam Troyer once described me, I'm an "out of the office worker"-helping with instructions, catalogs, advertising, labels, computer work, and whatever else needs to be done behind the scenes.
Purple Martin Products.com is an Authorized Reseller of the complete Troyer's product line, allowing me to continue what I enjoy most: helping Purple Martin landlords.
