Worm Gear Brake Winch
The Worm Gear Brake Winch is a heavy-duty upgrade for compatible Purple Martin gourd racks and housing systems. Its worm gear design provides smooth, controlled raising and lowering while automatically holding the load in place whenever movement stops.
Automatic Load Holding
The worm gear mechanism automatically stops and locks the load in position whenever you stop turning the drive shaft. There is no freewheel mode and no separate braking mechanism to engage, giving you excellent control when raising or lowering your housing system.
Operate with a Cordless Drill
The Worm Gear Winch features a 5/8-inch hex drive that allows it to be operated with a cordless drill. A 5/8-inch hex socket and drill adapter are included with the winch.
Important: Use a standard cordless drill. Do not use an impact driver with the Worm Gear Winch.
