The Troyer Sparrow Door Tunnel & THTT Trap Combo pairs the new 1-1/4" Sparrow Door Tunnel with the Troyer-Haskell Tunnel Trap (THTT), giving Purple Martin landlords a complete setup for trapping House Sparrows in compatible Troyer gourds.
The 1-1/4" round entrance allows House Sparrows to enter while preventing Purple Martins and starlings from using the opening. Once the THTT is installed, the gourd becomes a dedicated live-trapping location for House Sparrows.
How It Works
Why a 1-1/4" Entrance?
The smaller 1-1/4" round entrance is intended specifically for House Sparrow trapping. Purple Martins and starlings are unable to enter through the opening, helping reduce the chance of capturing a Purple Martin while the Sparrow Door is being used.
Live Trap System
The Troyer-Haskell Tunnel Trap is a live trap. Any non-target bird that may be captured can be released unharmed.
