Gilbertson Prothonotary Warbler & Chickadee House (#PWCH)
Prothonotary Warblers prefer areas with stagnant or slow moving waters. such as swamps, ponds, streams with willows and backyard ponds. They also prefer the area have a canopy cover. The Prothonotary Warbler will tolerate human inspections, but don't over do it. After the young are nine days old you should stay away from the box so as not to cause premature fledging.
Features:
The Gilbertson PVC nest box features a wooden roof.
The entrance hole size is 1-1-8"
Depth of the compartment is 5-¼" width is 4"
Overall the approximate house measures 7-7-8" high x 7-¼" wide
There is a wooden base in the bottom of the house, there is one hole that can be used as drainage for any rain that may blow in.
There are toe holds under the entrance inside of the house.
There are 2 half-moon vents at the rear of the house.
Roof measures approximately 9" x 7"
Squeeze the house sides and it easily removes for nest checks.
Mounts on your own provided 1/2” conduit pole
. (Approx. 6-½ feet long with 18-inches of pole into ground)

Hello, I would like to know if this box has vents in the back. I can't tell from the pictures and I am concerned about overheating. I would also like to know if I can order this with a plywood roof. Thank you

There are two vents, and it is only available with a cedar roof. Thank you.
